James E. (Jim) Davidson
Jim has 30 years experience as an IT professional and entrepreneur. IT Experience includes sales, sales management, business development, national account management, very large government project integration & support-team management, equity investor, an entrepreneur in software start-up and disaster recovery technology. He has a BA in Business Administration from Georgia Southern
Jim began his career in the technology field as a Sales Representative for Storage Technology Corporation (STC) working in various sales and sales management capacities with STC, Amdahl Corporation, and Telex. In 1987, Jim took a position with Memorex Telex and where he worked as National Accounts Manager, covering major accounts such as BellSouth, RJ Reynolds, Martin Marietta, and Georgia Pacific.
In 1998, R&D Networking hired Jim and opened the company's first office in New Orleans, LA. In 1999, R&D Networking became Cohesive Systems, which then became Exodus Communications. Jim had responsibility for the company's largest - The State of Louisiana's Department of Social Services, and the City of New Orleans Public Schools System (aka, Orleans Parish School Board). These accounts represented millions of dollars in contracts, complex competitive bid purchasing decisions, and intricate and time-consuming contract-negotiations. In 2002 joined Marketing Solutions (MSI), as sales consultant and business advisor. MSI was eventually sold to Fidelity Information Systems.
